Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve been on here. Since my début as The Man in Yellow on From, the horror series on MGM+ (Paramount+ here in Canada). I won’t spoil anything for you by giving out too much information here, but if you’re not familiar with the series and you’re curious to know what it’s all about, I strongly suggest you sign up for Paramount+ or MGM+ or whatever streaming service it’s being shown on in your area and check it out. It’s a brilliant piece of work. I’m not a fan of horror as a genre in general, but when I first auditioned for From I was struck by the quality of the writing. I remember thinking to myself, “This thing is going to be awesome.” Well, the finished product certainly doesn’t disappoint. Check it out. You can read up on the series on www.imdb.com.
Suffice to say that the season finale created quite an uproar amongst the Fromily, as the fanbase for the series refer to themselves. For the first time in my life, I suddenly find myself the subject of a whole lot of online scrutiny. It’s been an interesting journey so far. I’m curious to see where this all leads in the coming year. Season 4 of From is now in the can, and it should be released sometime in the next few months. MGM hasn’t specified a date yet, but I know the fanbase is chomping at the bit to see where things go from here…
Meanwhile, Marcia and I have been hard at work on our latest play, a psychological thriller called Succour. It’s a psychological thriller about identity theft. We had a staged reading of the first draft at Toronto’s Performing Arts Lodge back in February, and have since finished our final draft. Now it’s just a question of getting someone to produce it… In other playwriting news, Broadway Licensing, the publishers of our sixth play, Deadline, have now been bought up by Concord Theatricals, the publisher of our first five plays. It’s nice to know that all of our published plays can now be found on the same website, but for the time being, as least, Deadline is still available on Broadway Publishing’s Playscripts website. You can find out more about it here. There’s a button on that page that allows you to read an excerpt from the play, if you’re so inclined.
As far as acting work goes, I did an episode of Murdoch Mysteries earlier in the year, and it’s scheduled to show in early January of 2026.
In the spring, I took a little trip to Spain and Poland. I spent some time in flogging some of our plays to some theatre companies in Madrid, Warsaw and Cracow. Unfortunately, nothing has come of those efforts so far. But hope springs eternal…meanwhile, Marcia and I are trying to get some productions of a few of our plays in Germany, as we now have three of them translated into German. I’ll post any developments here as they develop…
